Acro Insiders: November Festival Edition 🎪

Back in LA and ready for spooky season! These are the festivals lighting up the calendar through November.

Hello, Bases & Flyers!

I’m back in LA after off-roading through southern Utah and northern Arizona, just in time for spooky Acroween on the green in Santa Monica. There’s an endless amount going on for this holiday season and I’m just trying not to get too bad of FOMO before jetting off to Thailand.

This week’s edition is all about festivals: the ones you can catch in the next couple of weeks, the ones you should plan ahead for, and the cultural festivals worth a side-trip while you’re at it.

So expect:

  • 🗓️ All Events Coming Up in the Next Week (Oct 28 – Nov 3)

  • 🎪 Featured Festival of the Week

  • ✈️ Plan Ahead: Festival Listings through November

  • 🌍 Beyond Acro: Cultural Festivals to Catch in November

  • 🧳 My Favorite Travel Tools

  • 🎉 Community Spotlight: Los Angeles

🌐 FEATURED FESTIVAL OF THE WEEK

📍Grazer Akrofestival | BRG Kepler, Graz, Austria | Oct 30 – Nov 2

Across four packed days, expect nonstop partner acrobatics, handstands, acroyoga, floor acrobatics, and aerial workshops, with 4–5 options to choose from each round. Between sessions, the festival balances intensity with recovery: open training space for jam time, two saunas for a proper wind-down, and wholesome vegan meals.

Catrina´s parade in México City

Day of the Dead | Mexico | Nov 1–2
Streets and cemeteries come alive with altars, candles, and marigolds as Mexico celebrates life through death.

Pushkar Camel Fair | Pushkar, India | Oct 30–Nov 5
Thousands of camels, traders, and travelers fill the desert for India’s most surreal mix of livestock, music, and chaos.

Yi Peng Lantern Festival | Chiang Mai, Thailand | Nov 5–6
Tens of thousands of lanterns rise into the night sky, turning Chiang Mai into a living constellation.

That Luang Festival | Vientiane, Laos | Nov 3–5
A three-day Buddhist celebration with candlelit processions, drumming, and offerings around Laos’ most sacred stupa.

 🎉 COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT

This week’s spotlight is… Los Angeles, USA!

LA is one of my home bases and honestly, one of the most skilled acro scenes I’ve ever seen. Every weekend, the parks fill with waves of flyers, bases, and spotters rotating between flows, pops, and whatever new sequence someone just brought back from a festival.

If you’re visiting, you’ll find classes happening somewhere almost every day. The two jam mainstays are Carlson Park in Culver City on Saturdays and Muscle Beach in Santa Monica on Sundays — that’s where you’ll usually find me.

What makes LA stand out isn’t just the weather or the ocean views, but the consistency. People train hard here, and the level pushes you to grow fast.
