Hello, Bases & Flyers!

Password to access the online calendar: acro123

Trying a little experiment this week: I’ll be in NYC this weekend and need some local intel — is the Sunday Central Park jam still happening this time of year?

Hit the reply to let me know, and maybe see you there! (Now we just need this nonstop rain to calm down for one day.)

Anyway, onto the September Retreats Edition, for anyone also craving a change of scenery or an excuse to disappear somewhere beautiful and move for a few days.

So expect in today’s issue:

  • 🗓️ All events coming up in the next two weeks

  • ✈️ Plan Ahead: AcroYoga retreats through March 2026

  • 🎉 Beyond Acro: Cultural Festivals You Can’t Miss in November

Together with ACRO + SURF IN NICARAGUA

Trade your normal routine for eight days of acro, surf, beach jams, and tropical recovery at Amaru Nicaragua.

Nov 7–14, Steve Cummings & Gina Shiotani are taking over this 25-acre oceanfront retreat for six acro workshops, a guided surf session, sunset beach jams, ecstatic dance, beach photoshoot, and plenty of hammock time in between.

Your stay includes 7 nights, 3 meals a day, airport transfers, workshops, surf instruction, and full resort access.

🏷 And even better: Our readers get $200 off with CODE: ACROINSIDERS — and there are only 2 rooms left.

🕒 COMING UP SOON: September 29 – October 13, 2026

(For the spontaneous among us — these all start in the next two weeks.)

🎉 BEYOND ACRO: Cultural Festivals You Can’t Miss in November

📍 Sumpango Giant Kite Festival | Sumpango, Guatemala | Nov 1
For Day of the Dead, families build enormous hand-painted kites—some several stories tall—and raise them over the cemetery to honor the dead. Expect huge crowds, intricate designs, and a full day centered around one of Guatemala’s most distinctive traditions.

📍 Bridgwater Carnival | Bridgwater, England, UK | Nov 7
One of Europe’s biggest illuminated carnival processions takes over the town after dark with enormous glowing carts, costumes, music, and enough lights to make subtlety completely irrelevant. The 2026 procession starts at 6 PM.

📍 La Fiesta de la Tradición | San Antonio de Areco, Argentina | Nov 13–15
Argentina’s gaucho culture gets the full spotlight with horseback skills, traditional dress, folk music, dancing, and a big Sunday parade through town.
